Later this month, Poco F6 5G is set to debut in India. The company has revealed the launch date and offered a glimpse of its design. Additionally, Poco has affirmed the availability details of the upcoming device. Previously, key specifications of the phone have circulated in the rumour mill. Speculations suggest it might be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3, launched in China in April this year. The Poco F6 5G is anticipated to share both design and specifications with the Redmi model.
Poco India has officially announced that the Poco F6 5G will be unveiled in India on May 23 at 4:30pm IST. The company’s social media handle teased the upcoming smartphone with the tagline “God Mode On.” Furthermore, the teaser showcases the rear panel of the handset, giving a glimpse of the camera unit arrangement.
The Poco F6 5G showcases a distinctive camera setup, comprising two cameras housed within individual circular modules, each slightly raised, accompanied by a ring-like flash unit. Notably, engravings on the panel indicate the inclusion of a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. Furthermore, a Flipkart microsite dedicated to the handset has been activated, confirming its eventual availability on the popular e-commerce platform.
The arrangement of the rear camera system on the Poco F6 5G mirrors that of the Redmi Turbo 3. Additionally, the color showcased in the teaser bears a striking resemblance to the Ice Titanium hue available for the Redmi model. In China, the Redmi Turbo 3 debuted with a starting price of CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is also offered in configurations with 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB storage options.
The upcoming Poco F6 5G for the Indian market is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, coupled with a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED display safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It’s expected to sport a 20-megapixel front camera and pack a robust 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging capabilities. Recent reports indicate its appearance on Geekbench, revealing 12GB of RAM and an Android 14-based operating system.
