Later this month, Oppo will unveil the Oppo Reno 12 series as the successor to the Oppo Reno 11 lineup. The company has disclosed the launch date for the new lineup in China, which will include the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro models. Additionally, Oppo has provided a glimpse of the rear panel design of these phones. More official teasers for the series are expected closer to the launch date. Alongside the Reno 12 series, Oppo may also introduce the Enco Air 4 Pro TWS earphones.

In a Weibo announcement, Oppo confirmed that the Oppo Reno 12 series will debut in China on May 23 at 4 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. IST). It is hinted to feature a ‘silver’ appearance, indicating that the devices will sport silver finishes. The company has also unveiled the design of the rear panels of the upcoming smartphones.
The Oppo Reno 12 showcases a silver hue, whereas the Oppo Reno 12 Pro comes in a purple color variant. Both devices boast glossy, sparkling exteriors and are equipped with elliptical rear camera setups positioned in the top left corner.
While Oppo has not disclosed further specifications about the phones, a separate social media post hints at the Reno 12 series introducing “unexpected innovative ways to capture photos.” Additionally, Oppo has teased the Oppo Enco Air 4 Pro earbuds, promising up to 44 hours of battery life. The exact launch date for these wireless earbuds is yet to be confirmed, but they might debut alongside the Reno 12 series. According to leaks, the standard Oppo Reno 12 model might be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8250 chipset, while the Pro variant could feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. Both models are expected to sport 50-megapixel triple rear camera setups.

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro is anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K display and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. Reports suggest it will include a 50-megapixel front camera sensor and a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom, and other accompanying lenses.
The Oppo Reno 11 5G and Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G made their debut in India in January this year. The Pro model is available at a price of Rs. 39,999 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, while the base variant starts at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model.
