Motorola announced on Monday (March 18) that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will soon launch in India. Ahead of its debut, a dedicated microsite on Flipkart is teasing the design and some specifications of the upcoming Edge-series smartphone. It has been confirmed that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be available in at least three color options and will feature a curved pOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The smartphone is showcased with an AI-backed camera unit, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Teasers reveal the device with curved screens and a centrally positioned waterdrop-style notch on the display for the selfie camera. However, Motorola has not yet disclosed the precise launch date for the upcoming smartphone.
As indicated, Flipkart has unveiled a landing page on its website teasing the design and specifications of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. It is confirmed to be offered in black, purple, and white color options. The phone will feature a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, a 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The display is promoted to come with HDR10+ certification and cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, it includes SGS Eye protection to minimize blue light emission and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is set to feature an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It is touted to introduce the world’s first Pantone-validated camera system. This device will include an AI-powered triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel 2μm primary camera, an ultra-wide camera with 50x hybrid zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens.
According to previous leaks, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. It is rumored to be officially unveiled on April 3, alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.
