The debut phone from Nothing might serve as an entry-level option.
There are indications that CMF Phone 1 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chip.
Nothing’s sub-brand CMF appears to be preparing to announce its inaugural smartphone. While no official details about the device have been confirmed yet, a recent leak suggests key information regarding its name, pricing, and specifications. The upcoming smartphone from CMF by Nothing is rumored to be named the CMF Phone 1. Reports indicate that it will boast a plastic body and may be offered in three distinct color options. Positioned as an entry-level offering, the CMF Phone 1 is anticipated to be priced competitively, potentially undercutting the cost of the Nothing Phone 2a.

According to a leak reported by 91Mobiles, the CMF Phone 1 could carry a price tag of approximately Rs. 12,000 in India. This pricing strategy would position it significantly below the current lineup of Nothing’s smartphones. For reference, the most affordable handset from Nothing, the Phone 2a, is priced at Rs. 23,999, while the Nothing Phone 2 debuted with a price of Rs. 44,999.
In line with typical entry-level smartphones, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to feature a plastic body, with possible Gorilla Glass protection on the front. It is rumored to be available in black, orange, and white color variants.
The rumored CMF Phone 1 is speculated to sport a 6.5-inch display and potentially operate on the Nothing OS, offering a limited feature set. CMF is expected to pledge three years of operating system upgrades and four years of security updates for the device. Reports suggest it may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset and feature a single rear camera setup. A 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support is anticipated to provide ample power.

Previously, the alleged CMF Phone 1 appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) website under the model number A015. However, CMF has yet to confirm its official name or release plans. Therefore, it’s advised to take the aforementioned details with caution until further official announcements are made.
