Samsung has collaborated with the Wilder World Metaverse game and will provide NFT rewards as a component of the Web3 TV bundle.

The developers of the Wilder World metaverse game have confirmed their partnership with Samsung through an official announcement on X.

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, has been cautiously exploring Web3 without directly exposing its vast user base to volatile digital assets. In a recent development, Samsung has unveiled a collaboration with the metaverse game Wilder World. As part of this partnership, Wilder World will offer NFT rewards to fifteen customers who purchase Samsung’s exclusive Web3 TV bundle. This agreement provides Wilder World with an opportunity to reach millions of households through Samsung’s smart televisions.

Wilder World is a free-to-roam metaverse ecosystem primarily focused on competitive racing. It entered alpha testing in December 2023 and is scheduled for a wider release later this year. The game’s developers announced their partnership with Samsung via an official post on X, published on Wednesday.

In Samsung’s upcoming sale of exclusive Web3 TV bundles, fifteen chosen purchasers will receive Wilder World NFTs as incentives. This collaboration aims to attract new players to the metaverse game’s ecosystem.

Samsung, aligning with advancements in emerging technologies, is striving to engage with a younger generation of consumers. Therefore, the Seoul-based company is incorporating Web3 elements such as the metaverse and NFTs into its latest range of products.

Samsung has consistently maintained its dominance in the television market. In 2023, reports indicate that the company held a 30.1 percent share of the global television market, slightly up from the previous year’s 29.7 percent. With its recent initiatives, Samsung has the potential to directly introduce Web3 technologies to its extensive user base.

This isn’t the first instance of the tech giant adopting a Web3-friendly approach. For example, in April 2023, Samsung collaborated with Crypto.com to offer asset trading services on devices within the Galaxy Z Fold series.

In 2022, Samsung partnered with Theta Labs and Nifty Gateway to bring NFTs to its smart TV and smartphone ecosystems.

In fact, the same year Samsung introduced the world’s first TV-based NFT explorer. Later that year, the company started rolling out smart TV models that came with features like NFT buying and management.
