Reportedly, Microsoft is set to launch the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 in March.
It has been reported that the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will be the company’s inaugural AI-powered PCs.
According to a recent report, Microsoft might introduce the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 later this month. These devices are rumored to be the tech giant’s initial foray into AI-powered PCs, potentially incorporating AI capabilities anticipated to be included in Windows 11 updates later in the year. The Microsoft PCs are anticipated to debut with Intel’s newest 14th-generation and Qualcomm X series processors, alongside the inclusion of a next-generation neural processing unit (NPU).
According to a report from Windows Central, which cited unnamed sources, both the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 are rumored to be launched on March 21. These would mark the debut of Microsoft’s first AI-powered PCs, said to feature the latest Intel Core Ultra processors as well as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite-based chips. If these rumors are accurate, it would be the first instance of Microsoft offering its Surface Laptop with options for both Intel and Arm processors.
Although details about the upcoming laptops are limited, the report highlights some of their key specifications. The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 is rumored to include an anti-reflective and brighter OLED panel capable of displaying HDR content. Additionally, it may come equipped with a new webcam featuring an ultrawide sensor. The webcam could be enhanced with AI Studio Effects, expected to be introduced later this year, and may also include an integrated NFC reader. The design is expected to remain similar to its predecessor.
On the contrary, Surface Laptop 6 might receive several design enhancements. Reports suggest that it will sport slimmer bezels with rounded corners for the display and introduce a new haptic touchpad. Moreover, Microsoft introduced a dedicated Copilot key for Windows laptops last year, and it is expected to be included in the Laptop 6. Additionally, the Laptop 6 is rumored to feature a new array of ports, including two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port on the left side, while the magnetic Surface Connect charger could be positioned on the right side.
Furthermore, both devices are expected to receive enhancements in battery life and performance. According to the report, the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 might be released in two separate phases. The initial release, scheduled for April, is expected to include models powered by Intel chips, while the Arm-based models could be launched later in June.
