Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Can Now Record Videos Up to 3 Minutes Long: Report
With the latest 6.0 software update, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses can now share content directly on Instagram stories too.
According to reports, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are receiving quality-of-life improvements through the latest 6.0 software update. Although not explicitly announced by Meta, one of the enhancements includes an extended video recording duration. Post-update, users are expected to have the capability to record videos with their Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses for up to three minutes, marking a significant threefold increase from the previous limit.

Record longer videos on Ray-Ban Meta glasses
According to a Digital Trends report, the version 6.0 update for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses allows users to record videos up to three minutes long, compared to the previous limit of 60 seconds.
However, the extended recording duration is not enabled by default. After the update, the glasses will still record videos for up to 60 seconds. Users can reportedly change this setting by going to the camera section in the companion app’s settings.
The new feature is included in the software update. If users do not have the auto-update option enabled, they can manually update the smart glasses to receive this feature along with the other improvements.
Other features
The update for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, announced in May, introduced several new features. According to a Meta blog post, the smart glasses now support the Calm app, aiding users in improving their mindfulness. The app can be accessed with a simple voice command, “Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.”

Additionally, the update enables music streaming via Amazon Music, eliminating the need for users to pull out their smartphones to listen to music. Users can also share captured media as their Instagram story using voice commands.
Alongside the new features, Meta introduced three new styles for its smart glasses: Skyler in Shiny Chalky Gray with Gradient Cinnamon Pink Lenses, Skyler in Shiny Black with Transitions Cerulean Blue Lenses, and Headliner Low Bridge Fit in Shiny Black with Polar G15 Lenses. These styles will be available in 15 countries, including the US, Canada, and Australia.
