Key Specifications of OnePlus Pad 2 Revealed via Geekbench Listing; Launch Timeline Reportedly Delayed
The OnePlus Pad 2 might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The OnePlus Pad 2 is anticipated to launch as the successor to the OnePlus Pad, which debuted in February 2023. The new tablet is expected to feature upgrades over its predecessor. Although the company has not yet officially confirmed the tablet, details have begun to surface online. Recently, it was spotted on a benchmarking website, revealing some key specifications. Additionally, the launch timeline for this tablet, along with other OnePlus and Oppo devices, has reportedly been delayed.
OnePlus Pad 2 Geekbench listing
The OnePlus Pad 2 was recently listed on Geekbench with the model number OnePlus OPD2404. According to the listing, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is equipped with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 14. The purported OnePlus Pad 2 achieved scores of 2,103 in the single-core test and 6,297 in the multi-core test.

Given that the Oppo Pad 2 shared similar specifications with the OnePlus Pad, the upcoming Oppo Pad 3 might resemble the OnePlus Pad 2.
Reportedly, the Oppo Pad 3 will feature a 12.1-inch 3K (3,000 x 2,120 pixels) LCD screen with a 7:5 aspect ratio. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage.
The tablet is also likely to include a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 9,150mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support. Additionally, it may support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Watch 3 launch timeline
The OnePlus Pad 2 was initially expected to launch in the second half of 2024, between July and December. However, tipster Digital Chat Station recently claimed in a Weibo post that the launch of the OnePlus Pad 2, along with the OnePlus Watch 3, will likely be delayed. He did not provide an exact timeline or a reason for the potential delay.
Another tipster, Max Jambor (@MaxJmb), supported this claim. In addition to the delays for the OnePlus Pad 2 and OnePlus Watch 3, the Oppo Pad 3 launch is also reportedly postponed.
