Design and Color Choices of Google Pixel 8a, Expected to Premiere at Google I/O 2024
Two out of the four leaked color options for the Pixel 8a are already featured in the Pixel 8 series.
Before its official unveiling, the Google Pixel 8a, set to succeed last year’s Pixel 7a, is rumored to debut at Google I/O 2024. Android Headlines recently released 360-degree images showcasing all four color variants of the Pixel 8a, described as an affordable alternative to the Pixel 8. Previous reports suggest that the Pixel 8a will feature a 4,500mAh battery and will be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 chipset.

While Google is yet to confirm the existence of the Pixel 8a, various leaks have provided insights into its design and specifications. According to recent leaks, the Pixel 8a is expected to launch next month in four color choices: Bay (Blue), Mint (Green), Obsidian (Black), and Porcelain (White).
The leaked images indicate that the Pixel 8a will closely resemble last year’s Pixel 8. The Pixel 8 was available in Hazel, Mint, Obsidian, and Rose color variants, suggesting that the rumored Pixel 8a will share at least two color options with its higher-end counterpart.
Earlier this week, an image of the Pixel 8a surfaced online, offering a glimpse of what could be the design of Google’s next A-series Pixel smartphone. The leaked image suggests that the rear camera module of the phone resembles that of the Pixel 8, while the rear panel features a matte finish, a departure from the Pixel 7a.
As per earlier reports, the Pixel 8a may come equipped with Google’s Tensor G3 chip, the same processor found in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, the phone is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak HDR brightness of 1,400 nits.

The Pixel 8a is rumored to feature a camera setup similar to that of the Pixel 7a, comprising a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. Additionally, it is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery with 27W wired fast charging support. More details about the Pixel 8a are anticipated to surface prior to its rumored launch at Google I/O 2024, commencing on May 14th.
