Apple is planning to introduce a new iPad Mini no earlier than the end of 2024.

The seventh-generation iPad Mini is rumoured to get an A16 chip and a slightly larger display than the existing model.

During Apple’s recent ‘Let Loose’ event, the tech giant introduced the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Surprisingly, there was no update for the iPad Mini, but instead, Apple unveiled the new Apple Pencil Pro and an updated Magic Keyboard. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that we might see a new iPad Mini by the end of this year. The sixth generation iPad Mini was launched towards the end of 2021.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new iPad Mini could be released “at the end of this year at the earliest.” Gurman speculates that the upcoming model may feature a faster chip but no significant upgrades beyond that. It’s possible that this new model could replace the current iPad Mini 2021.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming seventh-generation iPad Mini might come with an A16 chip and a slightly larger display compared to the existing model.

At its recent ‘Let’s Loose’ event, Apple introduced the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro models, alongside the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard. The iPad Air now offers options in 10.9-inch and 13-inch sizes, featuring a Liquid Retina (LCD) display and powered by the octa-core M2 chip. On the other hand, the iPad Pro boasts a ‘Tandem OLED’ display available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, equipped with Apple’s M4 chip and offering storage options of up to 2TB. All these new models operate on the iPadOS 17 platform.

The starting price of the iPad Pro (2024) in India is Rs. 99,900 for the 11-inch base model, whereas the iPad Air (2024) begins at Rs. 59,900 for the base 11-inch variant. The Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs. 11,900, and the new Magic Keyboard starts at Rs. 29,900.
