An updated version of Beeper for Android introduces a redesigned interface and additional features.
Now, Beeper for Android includes native features such as chat bubbles and enables users to add new services directly from the mobile app.
The latest update to Beeper for Android brings a comprehensive overhaul to the app. Those downloading the new version will encounter a refreshed interface, along with support for various native features found on Google’s mobile OS. Additionally, the app has been optimized for tablets, foldable phones, and devices with larger screens. Although there’s a waitlist for new users, they can bypass it by using invite codes.

In a blog post introducing the new version of the app, which is now available in open beta, Beeper Founder Eric Migicovsky announced that the company had completely rebuilt the app for enhanced performance. The Android app is currently undergoing beta testing, and Migicovsky mentioned that the company plans to introduce paid subscriptions “very soon.”
The app will store chats locally on the user’s device to enable quicker loading and facilitate message searches. The previous Beeper Cloud app is still accessible for download, while the Beeper Mini app, which briefly provided direct access to iMessage on Android before being permanently shut down by Apple, was removed in January.
Users who have managed to get past the waitlist will have to download the new beta version of Beeper for Android via the Play Store. They will be able to pick from two new themes — Material You and OLED Black. The new Android app offers Minimal and Pro inbox options that show a cleaner or detailed chat view, respectively.
Apart from these visual enhancements, the latest iteration of Beeper for Android introduces compatibility with native features such as chat bubbles. Additionally, users can now access their chats through a newly added home screen widget. Furthermore, the blog post mentions that the app has been tailored for improved performance on larger screens, including foldable devices and tablets.

The overhauled Beeper app for Android now offers compatibility with various chat platforms including WhatsApp, SMS (with RCS), Messenger, Telegram, Signal, and others. According to the blog post, forthcoming updates to the app will introduce features like chat deletion and an on-device end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) bridge for WhatsApp and Google Messages. While iMessage support is currently unavailable, an on-device bridge is anticipated in the future.
