Leaked images suggest that Dell is gearing up to launch its first laptops powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series processors. The upcoming models, Dell XPS 13 9345 and Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus, are rumored to feature a dedicated key for Microsoft’s Copilot chatbot and support AI capabilities. These laptops are expected to support Microsoft’s upcoming Windows AI Explorer and are anticipated to hit the market in the latter half of 2024. The leaked images, revealed by Windows Report, showcase designs reminiscent of Dell’s previous XPS and Inspiron lineups, but with the inclusion of the Snapdragon X Elite chip instead of traditional AMD or Intel processors.
Leaked images of the Dell XPS 13 9345 reveal the laptop’s design from multiple perspectives, showcasing an OLED display with thin bezels and a dedicated Copilot key. The laptop is depicted with a touch bar containing escape, delete, and function keys, while the keyboard’s sides extend to the edges of the chassis, reminiscent of the Dell XPS 13 Plus featuring a 12th Gen Intel Core Alder Lake CPU, which debuted at CES 2022.
In contrast, the Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus boasts a design akin to the recent Inspiron series, featuring rounded edges. Leaked images indicate that it will include a dedicated Copilot key, along with a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button on the keyboard. Additionally, the Inspiron 14 7441 Plus showcases a generously sized trackpad.
Regarding connectivity, the Dell XPS 13 9345 reportedly comes with two USB Type-C ports. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus is depicted with two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a microSD card slot. Leaked images showcase the XPS 13 9345 with a borderless trackpad, while those of the Inspiron 14 7441 Plus hint at the inclusion of a Windows Hello-compatible webcam along with other undisclosed sensors.
Although Dell has not officially announced its intentions to release new XPS and Inspiron laptops featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chips, sources suggest that the XPS 9345 and Inspiron 14 7441 Plus may debut in August or September. Pricing details for these laptops have not been disclosed yet, but we can anticipate further information, including product specifications, to emerge online in the months leading up to their launch.
