The upcoming Moto X50 Ultra is anticipated to be revealed soon, following its recent official teaser. The teaser from the company suggests a distinct design compared to previous models. Although details about the handset are limited at present, it is speculated to be launched worldwide with minor modifications and a new name. Expected to surpass its predecessor, the Moto X40 released in December 2023, the Moto X50 Ultra is likely to offer several upgrades.

In a Weibo post by Motorola, the teaser video showcases the upcoming Moto X50 Ultra alongside Formula 1 footage, suggesting a possible design inspiration from the racing event. Additionally, the company has labeled the phone as an “AI Mobile Phone” (translated from Chinese), indicating it will likely come with AI-powered features. However, Motorola has yet to confirm the release date or provide any further specifics about the device. It’s worth noting that the Moto X40 series did not include a Moto X40 Pro or Moto X40 Ultra variant.
In the video above, we see the Moto X50 Ultra with a black, faux leather finish. A rectangular rear camera module appears in the top left corner of the back panel with a glossy finish. The split volume keys and the power button are seen on the right side of the handset. We can expect to learn more about the model over the next few weeks.
According to a report by Sparrow News, the Moto X50 Ultra is anticipated to make its global debut as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, albeit with a few tweaks. Reportedly, it could feature a 4,500mAh battery and support fast charging up to 125W wired and 50W wirelessly. However, a GSMArena report suggests that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro might simply be a rebranded version of the standard Moto X50 model, if it exists at all. It’s important to approach these speculations with caution as they remain unconfirmed.

Globally, the Moto Edge 40 Pro debuted with slight modifications compared to the Moto X40 model.
