Infinix Note 40 Series Racing Edition Confirmed for Imminent Launch; Design Teaser Released
The Infinix Note 40 series Racing Edition boasts a design inspired by BMW.
In April, Infinix launched the Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G in India, both powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC. The company is now preparing to release a special edition of the Note 40 series. These mid-range devices feature an in-house Cheetah X1 power management chip and a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel main sensor. The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery, while the Note 40 Pro+ is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery.

Transsion Holdings’ sub-brand, Infinix, announced the upcoming Infinix Note 40 series Racing Edition through a video post on X. The post, tagged with “coming soon,” reveals a BMW-inspired design featuring the iconic tricolor accents on the rear camera island and the panel.
Similar to the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition, the forthcoming special edition of the Infinix Note 40 series is anticipated to be developed in collaboration with BMW’s Designworks studio. It is expected to feature a BMW-themed retail package and UI theme.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G were launched in India in April, priced at Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 21,999, respectively. Both models run on XOS 14 based on Android 14 and feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,436 pixels) curved 3D AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. They are powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and an in-house Cheetah X1 chip. The devices boast a triple camera setup, with a 108-megapixel main sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and 3x zoom. For selfies and video calls, they have a 32-megapixel front camera.

Both the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G feature an IP53-rated build and an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The Pro+ model includes a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, while the Pro variant has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Additionally, both models support 20W Magnetic wireless charging.
