The Tecno Camon 30 5G series is receiving an AI-powered upgrade, just a month after its launch in India. On Tuesday, the company announced it is expanding its Ella-GPT assistant, initially introduced with the Phantom V Flip 5G, to more smartphones. The standard Tecno Camon 30 5G and the Camon 30 Premier 5G already feature two generative AI functions: Ask AI and AI Generate. These smartphones come equipped with MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and operate on Android 14-based HiOS 14 out-of-the-box.

Tecno Camon 30 Series Updated With AI Features

Ella-GPT is an AI assistant powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and fine-tuned by ChatGPT. It can handle all typical AI chatbot functions, such as answering questions, generating text, providing nearly real-time translations, and helping generate ideas for creating more content.

Supporting over 70 languages, Ella-GPT also accepts voice input. According to the company, the AI assistant excels at managing users’ daily tasks and providing personalized assistance. Notably, it was first introduced with the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G in 2023.

In addition to Ella-GPT, the Tecno Camon 30 5G series includes two other AI features. AI Ask enables users to draft messages and check pre-written text for grammatical errors, as well as generate content in various formats. This feature also integrates with the Google Chrome browser to provide generative capabilities while browsing different websites.

The Camon 30 5G series also offers the AI Generate feature in the Notepad app, which can create unique images from random strokes and outlines. These generated images are displayed in a sketch style.
