The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is rumored to come with the same processor as the international variants of the Galaxy S24 series.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to launch alongside the pricier Galaxy Z Fold 6 in July.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is anticipated to launch later this year, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, followed by a more budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold FE. According to a tipster, the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to come with the same chipset found in the recently released Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models in international markets. The company’s foldable phone with a clamshell design currently serves as its most economical offering in the Galaxy Z series.

Tech analyst Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) recently suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung might opt for an Exynos 2400 processor for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Earlier in the year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ featuring the same chip in global markets, excluding North America and China. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra was equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor worldwide.

Considering Samsung’s choice to use its Exynos processor in the more affordable Galaxy S24 series models, the possibility of it being included in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 doesn’t seem far-fetched. It’s important to mention that unlike previous iterations, the Exynos 2400 chip managed to rival the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 quite effectively earlier this year.

The Exynos 2400 incorporates a powerful Arm Cortex-X4 core with a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz, accompanied by four Cortex-A720 cores (two running at 2.9GHz and two at 2.6GHz), along with four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.92GHz. This marks the company’s debut of the Fan-out Wafer Level Package (FOWLP), aimed at enhancing thermal management for sustained performance.

Recent leaks regarding the alleged Galaxy Z Flip 6 indicate that the device will feature a larger external display compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The latter was introduced in the latter half of 2023 with a 3.4-inch cover screen. This year’s foldable clamshell phone from Samsung is also rumored to come with a bigger battery and potentially up to 12GB of RAM. Further information about the device is anticipated to emerge prior to its expected launch in July.
